ABOUT ME

When I was little I liked drawing pictures. When I got bigger

I still liked drawing pictures.In fact, I liked drawing pictures so much,

I went to Loughborough University to learn more about drawing pictures, and graduated from there with BA (Hons) Illustration.

 

From there, I was employed for 5 years as a designer at Usborne Publishing, before making the scary move into freelancing in 2009.

Originally from Leicester, I am now based in North London,

where I live and work with illustrator and other half Steven Wood.

Time is fairly evenly split between working, and snacking.

 

I work mostly in children's publishing, but have worked across

many other fields including greetings cards and gift wrap, 

toy packaging and design, jigsaw puzzles, calendars, and branding.

Also I occasionally work in-house for various studios.

Recent clients include Ladybird Books, Campbell Books, Scholastic,

Pat-a-Cake, Imagine That, AZBooks, Editions Lito, Little Tiger Press, Bloomsbury Publishing, Kidsbooks, Priddy Books, Arcturus Publishing,

Yoyo Books, Samsung Publishing, Marks and Spencer, and Igloo Books.

 

At the last count, I have illustrated over 200 books.

No wonder I’m so tired!
